BEST

COMPETITION

STILL WORKING THIS OUT - PROBABLY BE READY FOR 2018
What is it: The Best Prototype Competition  is a competition judged by your peers. Contestants will be able to test their prototypes at specific playtesting groups around Australia. There will be an official rating form to fill out.

What you get: This is a competition that gives you an accolade. You will be awarded an "Honorable Mention" or "Best Prototype Stamp" that you can use to promote your game however you want.

What's with the criteria? Being a member of TGDA allows for open discussion, encouragement, iterating and confidence. Being a Patreon supporter is essentially an entrance fee. You will also only be able to get forms filled out on days specified by your local playtesting group.

Process: There will be three sessions a year. This means you can improve your prototype over time. Each form will be entered onto a spreadsheet and your results averaged out. This is completely user judged.

Where are the events? The events will be held at specific groups around Australia. For your local group check here .
Judging Deadlines:
TBA by your local prototype group.
Check the Playtesting page for groups around Australia.

Criteria for the competition:
  • Be a member of the Facebook group
  • Be a Patreon Supporter   or pay an entrance fee (TBA)
  • Only have your form filled on on the day of the event. If there is any hint of cheating you will be disqualified.

If any of the above criteria are not met, this will disqualify you from the competition.
